New Worrying Trends In Dental Care

Today’s dental specialists can’t stop bumping into more and more risks that we tend to expose ourselves to. In addition to the current decreasing demand for regular dental services and a certain decline in dental treatments, new health surveys reveal that more and more people in the UK are failing to observe the principal rules of basic dental care this way highly increasing their chances to suffer from serious dental problems including gum disease. This is considered the most common cause of tooth loss in modern adult people, and the experts from the company-manufacturer of Eludril mouthwash and Elgydium toothpaste conducted a survey in order to understand the present time’s tendencies in personal dental care of the Brits.

gum diseaseIt turned out that 17% of people brush their teeth as much asĀ  just once a day leaving their gums and tooth enamel exposed to a great number of risks, primarily plaque formation. One of every three British people never flosses, and only 14% of the Brits reported flossing once a day, the rest just floss once in a while.

Moreover, about 30% of the respondent reported never using mouthwashes though they are well aware of the fact the rinsing can assist in lowering the risks of gum disease. In addition, the majority of the participants of this survey have stated that they use mouthwashes mostly with the purpose of refreshing their breath. Not a better situation turned out to be about choosing the best toothpaste and mouthwash. About 60% of the participants stated that they do not give much of thought about getting stuck with one particular brand of these dental care products. Actually, they say that they usually opt for the dental care product which can be purchased for a cheap promotion price.

The scientists at Eludril and Elgydium are worried and disappointed, because the findings of this survey is more than dejecting. “People with gum disease are almost twice as likely to suffer from coronary artery disease,” says a spokesman for Eludril and Elgydium. “Also, pregnant women with gum disease can be up to seven times more likely to have a baby born too early and too small. Recent evidence also suggests a link between gum disease and breast cancer.” It is very important to pay a proper attention on our basic dental care in order to avoid gum disease and other serious dental problems.

It is good and healthy to brush your teeth twice a day and floss at least once a day. It will be better by having a regular dental check ups. That is because there certain places you can not can not reach with your brush and flossing. So only dentist could reach those places with the help of some instruments and clean your teeth.
