To, Dr.Akif Saleem

answer to ur querry ,

1 – people often believe that there are some negative effects on the eye sight while the tooth extraction is carried out.even after it actually.

ans. it is just a myth r rumour initiatiated in old times due to some wrong technique of infraorbital nrv. blocks given by some dental practicers (true dentists / dentist without any degree) which lead to orbital nerve block at orbital foramen in some cases & results in blured vision which is temporary 23 hrs depending upon local anesthetic action.

2 – relationship of scaling with tooth mobility.

ans. its not actually happens r happens while following wrong scaling technique..excesive pressure during scaling / prolong scaling in single sitting ...rest it acctually felt by patients with large calculus or tartar deposition +3 grade...so in those cases cases teeth were actually thr without any periodontal bone support the were just in position due to heavy calculus around n wen u remove it they feel mobility n less support .

3. dental powder is better than toothpastes as it removes more of plaque and stains.

ans. according to me ya they r actually good in removing plaque n debris as they have more amount of abrasives...but use of more abrasives are also injurious as that result in sensitivity n gum problems...secondly people use powders with the help of finger which do not clean the inter dental area again lead to periodontal problems n proximal caries !!

hope you find it helpful !!

rest any question you can contact me on facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/urfrndonline

Many people in my area comment that herpes labialis is due to urine of a lizard. This has been not included here and also many people complain that removal of their upper teeth affects their vision,i feel better if it could be added.I have a doubt that usage of fluoride toothpaste thrice daily reduce the caries incidence?
